Comments Closed (at least on one post)

64 comments.  That’s a lot of comments for any blog post in my book, and my post “People Are Stupid, Part 2:  Obama the Antichrist” has 64 published comments.  There would be many more, but I decided not to publish them, including two new comments I received today.  As I said in an update on this post, I have had enough.  The full text of the update is as follows:

While you are most welcome to read this post, no more comments will be allowed at this time.  I have never disabled comments on a post before, but I should have done so for this one long ago.  While everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, I can no longer stomach the comments of those who continue to insist that Obama actually is the antichrist.  As a student of the Bible, let me say unequivocally that there is not one shred of evidence one can find in the Bible that Obama is the antichrist.  No not one.

I posted this entry, as well as others with the title “People Are Stupid” to demonstrate how ridiculous people can be, even and especially Christians at times.  Many of the comments I have allowed in the past, and which you can read below, readily illustrate this point, I’m afraid.  Some of the comments I did not allow were even worse than those below and proved the point I was trying to make even more powerfully.
